2008/9 School Year

  • Hair

    • Short hair should be clipped away from the face and off the neck

    • Long hair should be pulled neatly into a bun

  • Ballerinas

A variety of colors and styles, in a range of prices, have been chosen for the different levels. The colors for each level  will remain the same from year to year. The styles might change (this is at the discretion of the manufacturers).  Dance stores in our area may carry these styles and colors. Please remember that your dancer can be wearing the same leotard for more than 1 year.

  • All Levels

    • Pink leather ballet shoes snugly fitted by Sue's Dance Boutique

    • Pink tights (footed or convertible) - either Merlet or Capezio Stretch & Hold

    • No Shrugs or loosely fitting sweats or sweatshirts allowed in class

     

  • Early Childhood Program

    • Pink Leotard

    • Skirts are optional

    • ballet pink wrap-around long sleeve ballet sweaters and leg warmers (optional for before and/or after class)

     

  • Ballet Program

  • Beginner Ballet and Teens

    • Black Eurotard Leotard w/ Separate Black Lace Skirt

    • Black wrap-around long sleeve ballet sweaters (optional)

    • Pink Leg Warners (optional - must be removed during class

    • Teens - solid black wrap-around skirt

     

  • Intermediate I-IV

    • Marine Blue Eurotard Leotard

    • Matching Eurotard Skirt

    • Wrap-around long sleeve ballet sweaters and leg-warmers (optional) - black, pink or color of assigned leotard

  • Advance

    • Leotard Colors

      • Monday - Emerald Green

      • Tuesday - Lilac

      • Wednesday - Marine Blue

      • Thursday - Black

      • Saturday - free choice

    • Leg Warmers and Sweaters - must be coordinated with Leotard

    • Wrap-around long sleeve ballet sweaters (optional) - must be coordinated with Leotard

    • Skirts Optional - must be coordinated with leotard

  • Adults

    • Black Unitard, Leotard, Jazz Pants or tights

    • Skirt (optional)

    • No Sweats

  • Male Dancers

    • White t-shirt

    • Black dance pants (ankles and knees easily seen – no baggy pants)

    • White socks

    • White leather ballet shoes - snuggly fitted

     

  • Appropriate street attire is expected at all times before and after class and at all NBB sponsored performances in the community.

     

  • No fingernail polish or jewelry is to be worn in the studio, except that one ring on the right hand is allowed and discrete stud earnings may be worn to keep pierced ears from closing.

  • Tights in various sizes from Sue's Dance Boutique are available at the studio for your convenience.
