Teens and adults with little or no ballet training are welcome, and may
enter the program in classes designed for their age and skill level. The teen
and adult classes move at a swifter pace, geared to the appropriate learning
styles of these “older” beginners. Ballet training helps develop flexibility,
strength, balance, poise, grace and confidence in one’s body. It is an ideal
complement to yoga, modern or jazz dance, tap, or a fitness program.
Pilates
Joseph H. Pilates developed a unique system of stretching and strengthening
exercises over ninety years ago that is today known as the Pilates method of
body conditioning. It strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture,
provides flexibility and balance, unites body and mind, and creates a more
streamlined shape. Miss Laura follows the techniques prescribed by Master
Instructor Romana Kryzanouska.
