About
Our mission is to provide a wholesome and enriching ballet environment for children and adults of Eastern North Carolina to explore and develop their artistic expression, movement and physical wellbeing. NBB will provide a classically based ballet program that will allow for self-exploration, creativity within movement and discipline. NBB will present artistic opportunities for the student and community through performances and summer camps.
Every Student will be exposed to an enriching curriculum containing a wide variety of Ballet dance styles, pantomime and characters in Ballet stories using props, pictures and costume pieces.
Every student will learn classic ballet technique, terminology, history, costuming and music through a well developed curriculum.
Every student will be treated with dignity and respect with positive reinforcement throughout their training. Each student is expected to be dignified and respectful of themselves and their art form.
Each student will be taught ballet in a variety of styles, learning how to execute ballet steps within the curriculum in a variety of ballet combinations. Students will learn how to dance rather than just learning a dance.
