2011/12 School Year
- Appropriate street attire is expected at all times before and after
class and at all NBB sponsored performances in the community.
- No fingernail polish or jewelry is to be worn in the studio, except
that one ring on the right hand is allowed and discrete stud earnings
may be worn to keep pierced ears from closing.
- Tights in various sizes from Sue's Dance Boutique are available
at the studio for your convenience.

dancewear needs.
- Hair
- Short hair should be clipped away from the face and off the
neck
- Long hair should be pulled neatly into a bun with all wisps
of hair clipped back or hairsprayed so that hair does not fall into
face during class.
- Ballerinas
A variety of colors and styles, in a range of prices, have been chosen
for the different levels. The styles might change (this is at the discretion
of the manufacturers). Dance stores in our area may carry these styles
and colors. Please remember that your dancer can be wearing the same
leotard for more than 1 year.
- All Levels
- Pink soft-leather ballet shoes snugly fitted by a Dance
Attire Store - Shoes from Discount or Department Stores, ABT
or faux leather shoes are not acceptable at NBB.
- Pink tights - either Merlet or Pietro
- Footed for Pre-school thru Ballet Beginner III
- Footed or Convertible for Ballet Beginner IV & Up
- Only snug fitting warm-ups are permitted - color must match
assigned color or be pink or black.
- Skirts are to be Child or Junior cut - no long skirts!

leg warmers (optional for before and/or after class)

- All Levels - Dancers should never walk out of NBB in dance

to wear when arriving and departing NBB.
